Fall River is a great city, it
is the city that I grew up in and the city that I love, but Fall
River is not living up to its full potential. We are stumbling in
the areas of education, public safety, and with creating more jobs
and economic development. We can keep doing the same things over and
over again but I would suggest that this election represents an
opportunity for the voters to vote for change.
As a Magna Cum Laude graduate of
UMass with a degree in Political Science and having worked for the
City of Fall River in the past, I believe I understand the issues
facing our city very well and that is why I offered many specific
solutions when I ran for Mayor in 2007. Also, I didn’t disappear
after that election, I stayed involved because I care. I have
continued to attend meetings throughout the community, have written
several Letters to the Editor on important issues facing Fall River,
and was one of the three original signatories on a petition
protesting the Fire Chief being made into a political appointment.
If you give me your vote for
City Council you will get a Councilor who will research the issues
thoroughly and someone that will not be a rubber stamp nor an
obstructionist but who will have the city’s best interests and your
best interests in mind with each and every vote that I take.
